looking at the specimin again i do have a theory and im guessing the video poster is well aware of it as hes undoubtedly the one who produced it, my theory is that he actually cross bread an L046 with another pleco, and if i were to make an educated guess i would say L273 based on the direction of the pattern. although i could be mistaken as at the moment i cannot find an actual size for the L273.

although bluetat is clearly an intolerant , he also happens to be correct. l046 has a body of entirely strait black and white stripes that are for the most part all horrizontal. and this one clearly does not. also as shown in the video the pleco is 6+ inches in length where as the zebra pleco’s maximum size is 4 inches at best.

i work in an aquatics retailer and i can tell you that this is a zebra pleco, at that size it will be in the region of £400, you can get false zebras too for £25ish. but of course, nothing like the real thing!
