    Yes as already …
Yes as already stated 78-80F. The male is the one that builds the nest. I’ve had several short-finned males so be careful. Easy fish to breed. Watch male doesn’t kill female after spawning (ie. remove female). The fry are quite difficult to raise cos very small and slow growing. Good luck.

yea and i really hope that it was not posted on his site and the fish store he’s owns or works at, because anyone who know’s about bettas, even just keeping them, knows that 70 to even 75 degrees can be way to cold for bettas, and need the upper 70′s to lower 80′s. Talk about wrong info that should be fixed! anyone who took that advice well at least for the water temp, i’m sure has a sick or now dead betta!

  24. GsxRLu says:

I’m sure he did mean 80-82degrees F. lol i don’t own a shop but i do breed bettas at home as a hobby and 70 degrees is to cold for bettas, and there immune system will slow down and get sick.
