what other aquarium fish goes well with tiger barb?

anyone knows?
i have a very small aquarium because i am just starting at taking care of fishes.
i currently have 3 tiger barb on the tank
and a parrot fish.
the fishes are very very small, on my estimation about 1 inch. according to a friend it is a10-gallon tank

Your fish won't stay small, they're just babies. Tiger Barbs should get to a chunky and aggressive 2.5"-3", excluding fins. In a trio you are liable to find them with bits of their fins missing, two could even gang up on one.

For a proper shoal (over 6) of Tiger Barbs you need a tank which is a minimum of 25 gallons. They are big, active, and notorious fin nippers.

The poor Blood Parrot Cichlid, like others have said, needs more like a 55 gallon tank, it will outgrow that tank in the very near future. They can get anything from 6"-10" depending on their breeding!

In your 10 gallon, unless you plan on buying a bigger tank this weekend, I would recommend returning the Tiger Barbs and Blood Parrot and stocking your small tank with fish actually suited to it. See here:

How can I reduce the odor of my fish aquarium?

well none of the fish you have belong in a small tank and are definitely not beginner fish… return them asap.

how big is the tank in gallons? if you don't know can you measure the length, width, and height of the tank and post it here and I can help you figure it out and find a more suitable fish.

fish grow, unless you can upgrade to a 50gallon tank you need to find them new homes.

for a 10gallon tank a good set up would be:
*1 centerpiece fish – bettas or dwarf gouramis are goo choices
*5 schooling fish of ONE type – tetras, rasboras, danios are good options
*4 bottom dwellers – kuhli loaches are good or pygmy cory cats

Blood Parrot Cichlids, will outgrow a 10 gallon aquarium in no time! Tiger Barbs become aggressive, as they mature. It's recommended that you have many tiger barbs for a school, but I suggest that you return the tiger barbs, and do a 25% water change, add 5 Rasboras, 3 Rummy Nosed Tetras, and 2 dwarf corydoras catfish. Thus creating a nice community aquarium.

I also recommend strongly that you join a fish forum such as this one

Small fish grow into big fish.

Red parrot cichlids need like over 5o gallons and 20-30+ gallons for tiger barbs and minimum schools of 6 for tiger barbs.
