what is this white fluff on aquarium heater suction pad?
I am in the process of cycleing my fish-less aquarium. I have noticed that there is white fluff looking stuff on the suction pad of the heater.
anyone know what this could be as there is none anywhere else in my tank!??
it's fungus..
if i were you i'd wipe it off before i found them floating at the top of the tank on their backs.
you don't have to clean it w/ soap. (wait…DO NOT EVER CLEAN IT WITH SOAP!) the chemicals will poison the fish. True story, pal. just give it a light scrubbing, it'll be fine…
if it isn't cotton wadding, its fungus you need to clean up that tank before you introduce any fish into it.
