Should i be worried if moisture from condensation sticks to my aquarium hood and light bulb?
It is a 5.5 gallon tank with a fluroescent light bulb (not the long ones). It dosent have one of those covers over the lighting so condensation gets on the light bulb. Is this dangerours/should i be worried? And does anyone has any ideas on how to block moisture from the bulb?
That can’t be good! At the very least it’ll rust the ballasts of the light, worst, well you know what water and electricity do
You could try to get a small piece of plexi-glass from your local hardware store (they can cut to size) that covers 3/4 of the surface and put the light on top of that. Shouldn’t be too costly for a small tank and should do the trick. Good luck!

it should be fine. if there was a problem then the tank would have something built in to keep it off of the bulb

I had that same problem and ended up with a mold problem on the light and also the cover. I’m allergic so that was definitely a problem for me, but if you’re not allergic I would say it should be fine. Just make sure to wipe off the condensation every now and then (like once a day or so).

Yes Plexi-glass or even you can buy hoods for your tank… being a 5.5 I would find a small piece of thick glass from a window shop.
