Since a sunroom is considered an inside room I would use outdoor funiture (as a contrast), bright colors on the wall like yellow. Plants both hanging and a tree (real of course) Outdoor lounger. Maybe even a statue that pumps water over itself so you can get the noise effect of running water. Bamboo window treatments.

Try wicker furniture with floral cushions. Maybe tiffany style lamps and large wind chimes.

To give applicable advice, just a bit more info would be helpful. So, the most I can offer is to ask yourself these questions and then surf accordingly: what’s the room going to be used for (lounging, reading, goofing off, nurturing exotic houseplants)? Is this a large scale project (buying all new furniture, tearing down a wall or two) or just a small budget touch up (like your other responder offered in their answer)? Do you have a green thumb that would welcome the addition of some new flowering plants? Visit the sites below to get some direction/inspiration. Or consider Better Homes and Gardens. They published a magazine I believe with the subheading of "Budget Decorating" or something along those lines. See if you can find it at the local library. It had some GREAT very inexpensive decor ideas that I think would look very nice in a sunroom setting.

    Good luck.

It depends on how you are going to use it and what your style is. For an island themed room, I was at Cost Plus the other day and saw the most gorgeous chair. It was the Plantation Chair, you could use two of them with dark wood tables, I got some from overstock.com for under $80 each. You can use dark wood woven shades from home depot and use a sisal rug with a border to go on the floor. There are also outdoor lamps and chandeliers at Target that are really nice. This will give you an elegant island look and it will look like you spent a lot of money, when you can do the whole thing for about $1000.

Since I have nothing to go on, I’ll do one I’d enjoy. First, I’d paint the walls in a soft buttery yellow with off-white trim, and since I’m on a limited budget but love Italian stone, a terrazzo floor tile to resemble light colored slate rock with just a hint of blue. Maybe natural wicker matchstick roll-up blinds on the windows under a blue toille topper and open sheers as airy as mosquito net so I can adjust the amount of sunlight (and privacy). I’m a huge fan of water features and their relaxing affect, so possibly on in an otherwise neglected corner with lots of plants and appropriate lighting for the evenings. Instead of a sofa, I’d like an oversized swing, again using the toile and yellow fabric for alot of cushions. If enough room, a sisal rug with handpainted border under a glass-topped table and wicker chairs . Lots of pottery pieces in provencal colors, throws for cool afternoons and music wired in from the stereo. That’s the sort of room I’d love to take my coffe and paper and hide out on a Sunday morning.
