    well i just add tap water as top off water every day.. bout a gallon… n i have to buy chemicals like calcium every 2-3 months and thats like 30 bucks but other then that food is not expensive… the real money eater is my metal halides n the electric bill which as u can imagine adds 500+ watts

    i dont have a sump right now its currently being set up tho….. my only filtration is the live rock i have…
    but yes u can put live rock in a sump for added filtration…. it works well

    does your pet store use live rocks as a filter in the sump? are u using live rocks as a filter too dude I add u as friend?

    yeah it was nipping and bitting my xenia coral like 3 times now so I remove it and put my two damselfish in a bucket with a air stone filter from wal mart I tell u walamrt? then I bought a new xenia coral a few weeks ago and he is very happy with my 4 clownfish? the filteration I am using for my reef tank is live rocks in my biowheel 200 I am going to add small live rocks as my filter in my biowheel 200 next time? live rocks are fine as a filter to clean the tank right?

    i think it was probably from something else but…. did u see it nipping at the coral?

    Yeah you can make frags and sell them for like 10 or 15$

  25. when i first got it …
    when i first got it it had 4 small stalks
    they started dying off at first then they came back super fast
    they have been in my tank for 7 months but have recently been going crazy under my metal halide lamps
    lighting is a HUGE factor with coral growth!!!
    i now have to limit where my xenia grows, but the bright side is i can sell my extra xenia
