For larger tanks, what method do you use to refill your aquarium during water changes?

If your Tank is no where near a faucet/sink…

When changing larger tanks even 20-30% is a lot of water and a lot of back and forths to the kitchen. So, I'm looking for a method that works best and fastest.

How do you refill your tank during a water change?

I use the python system on mine. You can get very long hosing on them and they can reach just about anywhere. Or you can get a large garbage style container and put it on wheels, wheel it over to the sink and then to the tank using a pump to pump it up into the tank.

I have this frog in my aquarium, the regulare kind you get for at pet stores for freshwater tanks.?

A Python Siphon. Its a long siphon hose that you hook to your sink and use it for removing and adding water. They come in different lengths, so you can get one that goes from your tank to the sink, however far away it is. You can buy one, or do a search for a DIY method and save a buck!

Get an adaptor for the sink that will allow you to attach a water hose and a hose long enough to reach your tanks. If you want to invest the extra money you can get a Python siphon which attaches to the sink and acts as both a siphon/vac and and hose. So it keeps you from having to go back and forth both with dirty water and clean.

I use python (http://www.pythonproducts.com/aqprod.html). It is pretty easy to fill or remove water from your tank. I paid around $30 for 25ft. you can get it up to 100 ft for little more money.

I have 3 tanks (2x55g and 30g). And water change is a breeze. Make sure you use some sort of chlorine remover since the water come straight from the faucet.

So far, it has been great. The only thing i hate about it is that the connection to the faucet isn't sealed. And the plastic seems brittle. You can get other similar products.

i also have the same problem i personally just use 2 five gallon buckets just put one under the sink wait for it to fill up then once its filled put the other one under the water and by the time you walk from your kitchen to the tank pour the water then back to the kitchen again the other bucket is almost full if not full!

I used a garden hose hook up Since my fish were on the bottom level of our house, i could run a hose from the crawl-space where we had a direct line to the well, by-passing the water softer..whic my golds just loved the harder water! I bought a hose specially designed for drinking water, and since it neverwas used outside, it was never dirty so left no residue behind when being used. I then used a water pump to remove the water through the same hose. running it into the sump pump or the laundry tub in the next room. One thing you could do is get five gallon water containers, ones not have been used for anything else and fill those up..if you've got a 55 and am only chaging a percentage, 2-3 should do. Fill those up, treat them as needed and then have them ready. its easier then lugging water by the bucket.
