Do saltwater aquariums need constant light?
I'm getting a salt water aquarium and I plan on putting it in my bed room. I'm somewhat concerned that the light coming from it would be an issue as I'm trying to sleep.
My question is: Do Saltwater Aquariums need constant light? Can I turn the light off when I'm sleeping and then turn it on in the morning? Should I just put the aquarium in another room where it won't be an issue?
Most tanks like a nano cube and biocubes have lighting built in. You leave the main light on for about 8 hours a day and then when you switch that light off the lunar lights come on. These are blue lights that aren't very bright. I thought that I was going to have a problem with it but I found it relaxing.
How do I lower or maintain my saltwater aquariums nitrate level to 0?
no but you shouldn't get a small one cause one saltwater often need 10-70 gallons to themselves and they are very expensive fish to keep it is more expensive to keep a dog for it's whole life or just set up a saltwater but i own a dog and a saltwater
best of luck

yes you can keep a light on a timer and turn off the light while you sleep.
you can get timers to automate the light cycle you can go simple 12 on 12 off… or 14 on 10 off.. etc..
remember fish dont have the lights turned on 247 in the wild.
one thing to consider is the sound of the tank. they are not silent. that would be my bigger concern.
